Jason joined the Lendlease Development team in 2013, and with over 17 years of experience in the areas of construction, architecture, urban planning, real estate development and sustainability, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the business.
As Head of Sustainability for Development, Jason supports project teams in delivering world-class projects throughout Australia in the most ecologically and socially balanced manner possible and in line with Lend Lease’s global mission and vision.
Jason commenced his career in construction and development in New York City, where he was instrumental in supporting the execution of several large-scale, mix-use projects. In his most recent role, Jason served as a Senior Project Manager and Head of Sustainability for Paul G. Allen’s Vulcan Inc. in Seattle, Washington, where he was instrumental in delivering of the South Lake Union urban regeneration project, anchored by the global headquarter offices of Amazon.com.
Jason earned his master’s degree in real estate finance and development from New York University and, in 2014, was awarded a LEED Fellow designation by the United States Green Building council for his career achievements in sustainable built environments. Most recently, Jason was selected as a 2015 Urban Vanguard by Next City. He is a co-founder of the International Living Future Institute and serves on the Australia National Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute. Jason also serves on the board of the Green Sports Alliance, an organization he founded in 2010.
His current research project, the Economics of Change, seeks to redefine the economic models that drive investment in our built environments through integration and recognition of social and environmental value streams intrinsic in green buildings and infrastructure.
