Felipe Moreno started his career with the city of Phoenix 14 years ago. He was a city of Phoenix Management intern, which is a highly competitive and coveted internship position, where he completed rotations in the Housing and the Budget and Research departments, as well as the City Manager’s office. During his 7 years with the Public Works Department, he managed both the community initiatives and special operations for the Special Projects Division of Solid Waste. His area of focus was specialized solid waste collection, community engagement, and reduction and diversion initiatives. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Famiily and Consumer Resources from the University of Arizona and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University.
