Susan Uthayakumar serves as the managing director, chief energy and sustainability officer, and an executive committee member at Prologis, where she leads the company’s Energy Solutions business. In this role, she oversees the development and deployment of solutions that help customers achieve energy independence through distributed energy resources, fleet electrification and strategic energy management. As a member of the company’s executive management team, Uthayakumar ensures alignment with Prologis’ broader business objectives and growth strategy. 

With a focus on scaling energy and mobility solutions, she plays a key role in optimizing Prologis’ assets to drive long-term value for customers. Her leadership has helped position Prologis as a global leader in providing innovative energy and mobility infrastructure within logistics real estate. 

Prior to joining Prologis, Uthayakumar held various leadership positions at Schneider Electric, most recently serving as president of the Global Sustainability Business Division, where she was responsible for advancing decarbonization and energy management solutions for global customers. She also served as CEO of Schneider Electric Canada, where she led the company’s transition to a digital power and automation technology leader. 

She has also led mergers and acquisitions at McCain Foods Ltd., a global leader in the frozen food industry, and has held leadership positions at Deloitte, a global advisory firm. 

Uthayakumar holds an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, focusing on international business practices, along with a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in arts from the University of Waterloo. She has also completed the Board Certification Program at Stanford and holds the Chartered Accountant and Certified Public Accountant designations.
