About
Chuck Carr has been with the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries for the past 12 years, currently serving as its Vice President of Member Services. Chuck “stumbled” into the industry, following work on Capitol Hill as a press secretary and in corporate communications.
With more than 1,600 member companies in 30-40 countries, Chuck has forged partnerships between members and law enforcement agencies to address issues such as curtailing metal theft in local communities and revitalizing ISRI’s Theft Alert system.
Chuck has presented to audiences across North America and in South Africa, and has been interviewed on NPR and in the New York Times, among other media outlets, for his expertise on these global problems.
