Ro Kumar is co-founder of Brush with Bamboo. He also writes about sustainability issues for The Huffington Post, and is the Founder of the Food Reform Coalition (foodreform.org). He graduated from UC Berkeley where he studied political science. He first met his co-founder Rohit Sahdev at Berkeley. After watching a TED Talk by Beth Terry, the Oakland-based author and activist at My Plastic Free Life, they both decided to start reducing their of use of plastic products. When they couldn’t find a good eco-friendly alternative to the plastic toothbrush, they began creating Brush with Bamboo with the goal of reducing a major plastic waste stream. For two years now, they’ve been building Brush with Bamboo with the goal of fostering a cleaner, more sustainable planet.
