Scott is a Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Sustainability for Comerica, Inc. As Director of Comerica’s sustainability program, Scott leads the bank’s enterprise-wide strategy and commitment to conduct business and operations in a way that enhances the well-being of people and the communities in which Comerica does business. Scott works with colleagues throughout the bank to develop and execute programs and initiatives that eliminate waste, capture operational efficiencies, improve environmental performance and demonstrate the value of socially and environmentally responsible behavior. Prior to becoming Sustainability Director, Scott was the manager of Comerica Bank’s Environmental Risk Management Group, responsible for evaluating environmental risk and transactional due diligence for a wide variety of real-estate based financial transactions. Serving on the External Advisory Board, Scott is active in the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in Ann Arbor. Scott has also been on the Board of Governors for the Environmental Banker’s Association (EBA), a member of the executive committee of the National Brownfield Association (NBA) – Michigan Chapter, a past chair of the Environmental Affairs Committee of the Michigan Banker’s Association, and participated in various regulatory advisory/stakeholder groups for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. Prior to joining Comerica, Scott worked as a consulting engineer with experience in the many facets of environmental due diligence, brownfield redevelopment, compliance, and remediation. Scott holds a Masters Degree in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Scott is also licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
