Matthew C. Jacobson is the Executive Director of the Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative. The MLMC is an industry supported marketing group that works to increase demand and interest in Maine Lobster.
A former 2010 Republican candidate for Governor of Maine, Mr. Jacobson most recently served as Executive Vice President of Sales, at Oxford Networks. Mr. Jacobson came to Oxford Networks in the acquisition of startup data center company Resilient Tier V, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.
From 2005-2010, Mr. Jacobson was President and Chief Executive Officer of Maine & Company – Maine’s primary economic development organization. In the 5 years Matt’s lead the organization, Maine & Company recruited several major companies to Maine including NotifyMD, athenahealth, Carbonite and Boston Financial Data Services.
Prior to joining Maine & Company, Matt was Assistant Vice President, Sales and Marketing, at Canadian National Railways, based in Chicago. From 1996-2000, Matt was President and Chief Operating Officer of the St. Lawrence & Atlantic Railroad, headquartered in Auburn, Maine. Matt began his railroad career at CSX in 1992.
Jacobson serves on the Board of Trustees of The Park Danforth Retirement Community; The Board of Directors of the Maine Cancer Foundation; and the Board of Trustees U.S. Naval Academy Foundation, Athletic & Scholarship Programs.
Matt is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy (1984) and holds an MBA from Chapman University (1992). As a US Air Force pilot, he accumulated more than 3,000 hours flight time primarily in command of the C-130 Hercules. Jacobson served mainly in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
