Rick Shipley has over 15 years of experience recycling commodities across a broad range of industries. Mr. Shipley is an expert in developing large scale recycling programs that meet both operational and financial needs for clients. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Organix Recycling, LLC, a company he co-founded in 2010 to meet a growing and desperate need to divert food scraps from landfills and redirect them to recycling centers. In five short years, Organix has become one of the largest collectors and recyclers of food scraps in the U.S., diverting more than 200,000,000 pounds in 2012. Prior to Organix, Mr. Shipley was the National Sales Director in the Environmental Division for Universal Lubricants. During his tenure, historical highs in the volume of used motor oil collected and recycled were achieved. Mr. Shipley holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern Illinois University.Episodes
