About

In 2013, Nikki Azzara established Slender Seven and formed the online cookbook to share her favorite recipes. As a health and fitness enthusiast and gluten-free foodie, Nikki enjoys experimenting with wholesome ingredients to create delicious recipes that embody a healthy lifestyle. While taking an entrepreneurship class at the Wake Forest University School of Business, she decided to pursue her passion for cooking in conjunction with her marketing major and launch Slender Seven. The website and Slender Seven app provides recipes that are simple, delicious, and use only seven ingredients or less to promote a happy, healthy lifestyle. In October 2014, the company created a Tilt crowdfunding campaign to raise startup funds for the brand’s first consumer packaged good. The successful campaign enabled Slender Seven to join the Union Kitchen culinary incubator in January 2015 and launch the product. Slender Seven Healthy & Eggless Cookie Dough hit shelves in Washington, D.C. in April 2015. The cookie dough is all-natural, allergy-friendly, low in sugar and uses organic beans (garbanzo and black beans) as the primary ingredient. The versatile dough can be enjoyed raw or baked into cookies. There is no gluten, flour, dairy, soy, peanuts, genetically modified organisms or preservatives. Rather, the seven ingredients have been selected with a purpose and reflect our brand’s philosophy: cook simply, eat healthy & feel happy. Slender Seven Cookie Dough can be found in nine stores in the DC and Maryland region.
