Dr. Thomas P Seager is an Associate Professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering at Arizona State University. He is the founder of a new concept called Self-Actual Engineering that emphasizes application of design principles for the top of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Human Motivation, rather than the bottom. Seager also co-founded the Morozko Forge ice bath company and is an expert in the use of ice baths for building metabolic and psychological resilience. His latest book is titled “Uncommon Cold” and is the integration of hundreds of scientific studies and a dozen personal stories of health transformation Seager has conducted with cold plungers. It has chapters on cancer, testosterone, sexual performance, autoimmune disorders, Type 2 diabetes, exercise performance, Alzheimer’s and more.
