Julie Schilf is an Environmental Scientist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Region 5 office. Ms. Schilf joined the EPA in 2005 and performed GIS support for groundwater evaluation and analysis. She currently works in materials management, providing technical assistance to help businesses and organizations quantify and improve sustainable food management practices. Ms. Schilf is the Region 5 coordinator for EPA’s Food Recovery Challenge and is involved with advancing composting in Illinois through the Illinois Food Scrap Coalition.
Ms. Schilf has a BA in Environmental Policy and a Master’s in Public Administration from Roosevelt University.
