Bob Johnson founded NAID in 1994 to serve as a non-profit watchdog organization for the secure information destruction industry. As a result of its success, he more recently presided over NAID’s merger with PRISM International – a 40-year-old information management association – to form what is now i-SIGMA.
Considered a leading authority on data security and privacy protection regulations, Bob has testified before the U.S. Senate Financial Services Committee, the Canadian House of Parliament and the European Commission on the importance of secure data disposal, and is also the author of the book Information Disposition: A Practical Guide to the Secure and Compliant Disposal of Records, Media and I.T. Assets.
